Paracetamol 500mg Tablets are used in the treatment of painful and feverish conditions.
They are suitable for the relief of:
– Headache
– Migraine
-Nerve pain
– Muscular aches and pains
– Toothache
– Period pain
– Sore throat
– Rheumatic pains
– Fever
– Aches and pains of colds and flu
The active ingredient in each tablet is Paracetamol 500mg.
Please ensure this medication is used in line with the manufacturer’s directions.
- Adults and children aged 16 years and over: 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children aged 10-15 years: Give 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not give more than 4 tablets in 24 hours. Do not give for more than 3 days at a time unless your doctor tells you to.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
- Do not take more than the recommended dose.
- Do not give to children under 10 years.
Do not use if:
- You have ever had an allergic reaction to paracetamol, caffeine or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
- You are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.
Speak to your doctor before using if:
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to breastfeed or planning on becoming become pregnant.
- You have severe kidney or liver disease including alcoholic liver disease.
- You are taking other medication including metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine, anticoagulants e.g., warfarin, imatinib, antibiotics e.g., chloramphenicol.

- Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- If you get any side effects, please talk to your doctor. Seek urgent medical attention if you suffer from an allergic reaction.
