To treat allergic conditions such as hayfever, rashes or hives, or to prevent travel sickness
Also to treat adults with difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
Dosages: Children below 6 years: not recommended in any conditions.
In allergic conditions e.g. hayfever, rashes or hives:
Children 6-10 years: A single night time dose of 1 tablet.The total dose must not exceed 1 tablet per day.
Children over 10 years & adults: A single daily dose of one tablet at night increasing to a maximum of 1 tablet twice daily if necessary.
In travel sickness:
Children 6-10 years: The use of Phenergan Elixir is recommended in this age group.
Children over 10 years & adults: One tablet the night before the journey. This may be repeated after 6-8 hours if necessary.
For short-term sedation:
Children 6-10 years:One tablet as a single night-time dose.
Children over 10 years & adults: One or two tablets as a single night-time dose.
If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Do not use for more than 7 days without asking your doctor or pharmacist. Exposure of the skin to strong sunlight must be avoided.
WARNING: May cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drink. Do not exceed the stated dose.
